Renewable Energy  Behind the Meter Energy Appraisals

Onsite Generation, Battery Energy Storage and Complex Time of use tariff optimisation & sizing appraisals

With access to global leading software, and augmented by in house developed solutions

With Half Hour Generation and consumption data, together with  Time of use Import / Export tariffs, a low carbon technical solution can be evolved, modelled and optimised in terms of energy performance and optimal financial solution for PV/BESS/Wind/EV/CHP and heat pump based solutions.

Client Proposal for replacing 100% grid with PV/BESS

An example showing energy appraisal with HH demand and generation data and variable time of use tariff. The appraisals show that compared to a 30p/kWh import only tariff, the investment in PV/BESS has a 7.5 year payback principally by taking advantage of cheaper early AM imports that charge the battery, and lunchtime boost to minmise peak rate heat pump import at peak demand times.

Yieldworks is an in house developed modelling system to match half hour generation with Demand, whilst accomodating adjustable battery sizes, export limits, and demand profiles.

The outputs can be monetorised to determine investent appraisals, and can import data from all the leandong PV, wind, Heat pump modelling programms.

Homer Grid optimises behind-the-meter distributed energy resources, minimise demand charges, model complex tariffs and time-of-use rates, and take advantage of self-consumption, energy arbitrage, and incentives.

Homer Pro is global standard for optimizing microgrids and distributed energy resources, with thousands of technology choices and options, for everything from village power systems and island utilities to grid-connected campuses and military base

PVSyst is the global leader in PV simulation from large scale projects to small rooftop systems.

PVSyst can produce hourly generation datasets for incorporating into energy models.

windPRO is the industry leading software suite for design and planning of wind farms projects. Successfully used by both large corporations and small entrepreneurs, windPRO is recognized and accepted by banks and authorities worldwide.

GeoT*SOL can model  different heat sources (soil, air and groundwater), operating modes (monovalent, monoenergetic and bivalent) and numerous system configurations. The program allows for bivalent systems with boiler as heat generator as well as the integration of solar thermal systems and photovoltaic systems.

Based on a dynamic minute simulation, electricity consumption, seasonal performance factors, operating costs and other system data can be calculated, and an electrical energy hourly demand profile created which can be added to existing demand profiles to appraise the addition of heat pumps.
